Comic Book Stuff

The comic book I have been working on has been my baby for a long time now.  It has transformed from something of a silly idea to one of the most thorough and intricate universes to come out of the factory of my mind.  The plot remains shrouded in mystery because I want it to be a surprise when it is finally released, but what I can say is that it is dark, gritty, and one of the most fun and challenging things I’ve ever worked on.  I’ve spent every ounce of energy making sure that my readers will think the same.

I draw a lot of inspiration from my favorite artists including Frank Miller (Sin City, 300), Tim Sale (Batman: The Long Halloween), Charlie Adlard (Walking Dead) and Todd MacFarlane (Spawn).  Their use of shadows is unparalleled and is what initially drew me to their work.  But what sustained that interest was how each of their writer counterparts masterfully transformed them from mere drawings into real flesh and blood characters.   I hope that one day my comic will be on par with theirs and so I work every day to make sure that I do them justice.
